Master Your Emotions



There are people who think that communicating whatever you feel is important. However, have you ever stopped and thought about what it is you feel? Whatever is it you are really feeling?  


The following are basic tips and advice in order to determine what your real feelings are, and how such feelings could help you improve and be the best of what you can possibly be.

What are feelings?


Feelings are energy that moves all throughout one’s body. Feelings should flow freely. Such feelings are intimately connected to one’s own creativity and sense of well-being. Being in touch, as well as aware with one’s feelings, could help maintain one’s psychological, emotional, as well as physical health.


Go with it, go through it, feel it.


Get in the zone with what and where your feelings are. Have you ever experienced fear? Believe it or not, fear is also important as it gives everyone the needed info as to what may or may not be necessary for one’s safety and health.  


Fear that is continually ignored could actually develop into symptoms that are physically manifested. Ulcer, nausea, indigestion are forms of fear that are blocked and un-expressed.  


Sadness is also an emotion that needs to be let out if it wants to. Observe how sadness begins usually in the chest or heart area. See how it moves towards your throat, until it reaches your eyes, and tears come out. Usually, a very common reaction towards such feelings is repression. More often than not, the feeling of sadness is repressed because it is just a bit too painful. In reality, preventing the energy to come out is more dangerous in the long run.  Allow yourself to cry, to the full extent of your emotions.


Doing so actually cleanses your heart. Try to pay attention to any sensations you may be feeling. Allow the energy of sadness to move out on its own.  Remember that any blocked feelings of sadness could actually lead to problems in the lung, heart, throat or eyes.


Anger is also another emotion that is usually not as well expressed, or sometimes, one that is expressed too much. Anger first makes itself felt at the back, just between the shoulders.


See and feel how it travels towards the back of your neck, until it reaches your jaws.  


In reality, anger is not at all bad. A healthy kind of anger actually helps you determine what it is you can say NO to, as such things may actually not be in your best interest.  Actually, the healthy kind of anger does not really abuse, blame, or attack. Healthy anger is expressed and is lead to flow throughout one’s body.


Record, record, record.


The best way to know your emotions and the best way to master them is to let it flow, let it go, and to record them. Try to keep a simple journal of the experiences you may have undergone and felt. Try to record what and how it is you felt when you were happy, sad, or passionate.  Then, try to compare your current emotional state to whatever it was you felt then.  


Overall, putting a finger on what it is you are feeling actually opens a lot of doors to creativity, wisdom, and intuition, as well as your health.
